The direct current (DC) shield plays a key role in protecting the PV modules and inverter from short circuit, overload and reverse current. Malfunctions in the DC module can lead to an accident with damage to all station equipment. The presence of even minor equipment malfunctions entails a decrease in the amount of generated energy and negatively affects the profit from the plant, so it is important to conduct regular audits of protective modules on the DC side.
Avante99 experts will inspect and test direct current (DC) panel elements in 6 steps:
- overview of the ground structure;
- review and evaluation of the assembled DC array;
- overview of the installed protective automatics from the DC side;
- checking errors and inverter settings;
- overview of DC connections of the inverter and protective automation;
- checking DC connections for a tendency to overheat.
Based on the results of a visual assessment of the main components of the DC part of the solar power plant, the expert will provide an assessment of the condition of the equipment and recommendations for optimizing plant operation. If breakdowns and deviations in equipment performance are detected, repair of the DC switchboard may be recommended, the cost and timing of which will be agreed upon with the installer. The duration of the audit is 90 minutes.
