Hybrid inverter Victron Energy MultiPlus 12/1200/50-16 (1.2 kVA/1 kW, 1 phase, without MPPT)
MultiPlus 12/1200/50-16 is a self-contained inverter with a built-in multi-stage intelligent battery charger and a high-speed AC transfer relay. The functionality of the device allows you to remotely control the inverter, make settings and program the relay. Inverter and charger parameters are read via VictronConnect. Additionally, the inverter has a VE.Direct port for connection to a GX or GlobalLink 520 device for system monitoring.
Advantages of MULTI PLUS voltage inverters
The output voltage shape is a pure sinusoid;
The “Power Control” function allows you to limit power consumption;
The “Power Assist” function allows you to increase power by connecting the battery;
“Frequency shift” function - frequency shift to use excess electricity;
Parallel configuration of up to 6 devices to increase power;
Three-phase configuration for three-phase networks 380/400/415 Volts;
Time switching between network and batteries no more than 20 ms;
The “UPS” mode allows you to reduce switching time to 4-6 ms;
The energy saving function is implemented in two operating modes;
A programmable relay can be configured to automatically start the generator;
Inverter synchronization is available to control and configure complex operating patterns;
A built-in charger with four charging modes, a touch input and a temperature sensor will select the optimal mode for the connected batteries.
In the event of a network fault or loss of power from the generator or shore source, the Multi inverter will automatically turn on and take over power from the connected loads. This happens so quickly (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment continue to operate without interruption.

Power limiter - PowerControl
The limiter operates when connected to an alternating current (AC) source and controls the charging current of the batteries. The powerful charger, which is part of the MultiPlus inverter, assumes an increased load in the electrical network in which the inverter operates, but thanks to the PowerControl function, the load is reduced by limiting the charging current, which can be important when operating from generator, port coastal network, etc. Intelligent control allows you to take into account consumers and use “excess” current to charge batteries.
Increased power - PowerAssist function
If the power of the variable power source is not enough to operate a specific consumer or group of consumers at the time of peak loads, the MultiPlus inverter automatically connects the battery pack, which leads to an increase in power and uninterrupted operation. This possibility often arises during peak loads at the start of operation of “heavy” consumers. The PowerAssist function is available in all inverter models, but requires certain settings.
At the moment of load reduction, excess current from the variable power source is supplied to the charger, which recharges the batteries.
Charger
The MultiPlus inverter contains a powerful device for charging batteries, which operates in 4 modes. This allows for the most efficient use batteries, which significantly extends service life. Also “on board” MultiPlus there is a dedicated sensor input for measuring the voltage at the battery terminals (only for devices with a power of 3000 to 5000 VA) and an input for a temperature sensor, which is supplied in the kit.
