Charge controller Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT 250/70-MC4 (70A, 12/24/48 V)
A solar charger collects energy from solar panels and stores it in batteries. Using the latest and fastest technology, BlueSolar maximizes solar energy efficiency by delivering a smart charge in the shortest possible time. BlueSolar keeps batteries in good condition, increasing their lifespan.
MPPT: Ultra-fast maximum power point tracking
By continuously monitoring the voltage and current output of your solar (PV) panels, MPPT technology ensures that the panels' available power is utilized to the fullest extent possible for storage in batteries. The benefits are especially obvious under partly cloudy skies, when light levels fluctuate frequently.
Remote monitoring and control
Remotely monitor and control a wide range of features of your SmartSolar MPPT charger with built-in Bluetooth by connecting it to smartphone or other device via VictronConnect. If your installation is connected to the Internet using a GX device, the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal provides access to the full power of your MPPT anytime, anywhere; Access to VictronConnect and VRM is free. For remote installations - even if there is no Internet connection nearby - you can still monitor your MPPT by connecting the GlobalLink 520.
Optional SmartSolar control screen
When you connect the SmartSolar control screen, you can easily check the status of your charger and batteries. Simply connect it to the front panel of your MPPT charger to monitor equipment performance in real time.

1a) When connecting PV power supply with higher power, the controller will limit the input power.
1b) The PV voltage must exceed Vbat + 5V for the controller to start working. Then the minimum PV voltage is Vbat + 1V.
2) PV with higher short circuit current may damage the controller.
3) MC4 models: several splitter pairs may be required to parallelize rows of solar panels.
Maximum current through MC4 connector: 30 A (MC4 connectors are connected in parallel to one MPPT tracker)
