The SMA EV Charger allows PV system operators to charge their electric vehicles intelligently and environmentally. This is because charging your electric vehicle with solar energy keeps grid acquisition costs to a minimum. Whether your system is brand new or has been in use for some time, the SMA EV Charger is highly flexible and compatible with all standard electric vehicles thanks to its always-on Type 2 charging cable. When combined with the SMA Sunny Home Manager 2.0, customers can prioritize solar power to charge their electric vehicles—and do it very quickly if they're in a hurry. It can be easily controlled using the rotary switch on the device or from the SMA Energy app. The Boost function allows you to charge cars twice as fast as with conventional chargers stations. Small solar capacities can also be maximized by automatically switching from single-phase to three-phase charging modes. The smart system always takes into account the load and prevents home communications from being overloaded.
