SmartSolar MPPT RS solar charge controllers are Victron's solution for systems with large series-connected PV arrays charging 48V DC batteries. This product is ideal for large off-grid and grid-connected battery systems.

MPPT: Ultra-fast peak power tracking
The SmartSolar RS Solar Charge Controller connects to the PV array from 80 to 450 volts of open circuit voltage and efficiently charges your 48 volt battery pack up to 100A or up to 200A. Charge settings are fully programmable and can be customized for different battery chemistries such as lead-acid, lithium and others.

Setup and monitoring with VictronConnect
The SmartSolar RS charge controller can be remotely controlled and configured via Bluetooth using the VictronConnect app. This application allows you to set up devices, manage them and instantly get information such as battery voltage and current, photovoltaic source voltage and current, historical data and trend changes.

Serial connection of additional units
The SmartSolar RS Charge Controller is equipped with VE.Can transmit inputs, allowing communication with optional SmartSolar RS & VE.Can MPPT devices. Additional units are simply “chained” to each other using an RJ45 cable.
When connected to each other, all individual charge controllers synchronize their charging steps. They can also send their data over the same cable for monitoring to a GX device (such as a Cerbo GX).

Remote monitoring and control
If the GX device is connected to the Internet, the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal will provide access to the full power of your SmartSolar RS charge controllers.
If the installation is connected to both the GX and the Internet, the Victron Remote Management (VRM) portal will provide access to the full power of your MPPT at anytime, anywhere for free.
For remote installations - even if there is no internet connection nearby, you can still control the MPPT by connecting the GlobalLink 520.

Smart Solar display
The SmartSolar RS charge controller is equipped with a front panel display. The display reads battery volts, charge current and voltage from both arrays separately, including instantaneous and cumulative readings, as well as unit status, including any possible error codes.

I/O Connections
The SmartSolar RS charge controller features a programmable relay and remote temperature and voltage sensing options. The remote input can accept Victron smallBMS and other types of BMS with charging enable signals.
