SNAPINVERTER TECHNOLOGY
SnapINverter inverters have a simple, standardized mounting system, making installation and maintenance as easy as possible. A design feature of the device is that the connection area is separated from the power block module. These elements are installed separately. First, a very easy to use connection area and all its cables are attached to the wall, and then the power block is attached. With the innovative hinge system, installation and maintenance are very user-friendly. The inverter only needs to be inserted into the wall mounting bracket and secured. This means that for maintenance you do not need to remove the entire inverter; it is enough to remove only the power unit. All cables remain in place.
BUILT-IN COMMUNICATION INTERFACES
We are the first inverter manufacturer to offer a communications package with a fully integrated data logging system, wireless or Ethernet connectivity, generation and demand management, web server and a range of interfaces. The inverter connects to the Internet without the need for additional cables, and you are guaranteed a perfect overview of the operation of the photovoltaic system. Connection to third party components is made using interfaces such as Modbus TCP SunSpec, Modbus RTU SunSpec and Fronius Solar API (JSON). Open interfaces can be used in parallel with Fronius Solar.web.
SMART GRID READY
Fronius inverters are ready for the intelligent Smart Grid of tomorrow, meet all the technical requirements of the grids of the future and are optimally equipped to meet the technical requirements of the grids of the future. A whole series of intelligent capabilities, so-called Advanced Grid functions, are already built into the inverters, including a number of control functions for optimizing the export of reactive and active power to the grid. These features are designed to ensure stable grid operation even in high-density photovoltaic systems and to prevent unwanted power outages and therefore reduced energy output due to grid out-of-range conditions. In this way, Fronius inverters ensure optimal operation of the photovoltaic system. In addition, if power supply limitation is set, Fronius inverters may provide dynamic supply control to maximize self-consumption. Simply connect the meter and set the flow limit.
DYNAMIC PEAK MANAGER
Dynamic Peak Manager is a new peak power point tracking algorithm that dynamically adapts behavior to find the optimal operating point. The special feature is that Dynamic Peak Manager automatically checks the entire performance curve regularly and determines the global maximum power point (GMPP), even if the panels are partially shaded.
ZERO EXPORT ONLINE
Today, a growing number of power system operators around the world are demanding restrictions on the export of photovoltaic electricity before connecting the system to the electrical grid. With its dynamic power reduction function, Fronius offers an effective solution for optimizing the management of energy exports. First of all, the inverter powers electrical appliances in the house, and then reduces energy production to the maximum permissible level permitted by the operator. This function allows Fronius inverters to completely limit the export of photovoltaic energy to the grid. The corresponding network operator restrictions can be met thanks to the simple configuration of the inverter via the web interface.
ACTIVE COOLING
Active cooling technology uses one or more fans to not only prevent hot spots, but also regulate air circulation inside the inverter, thereby keeping the power electronics cool. This has a positive effect on the service life of the devices, as well as optimizing operation and saving money. Fronius uses active cooling technology by default on all devices.
