Victron Energy BMV-700 Battery Monitor

The BMV-700 is a family of cutting-edge, high-precision battery monitors. An important function of a battery monitor is to calculate the amp hours used and the state of charge of the battery. Ampere-hours consumed are calculated by integrating the currents flowing into and out of the battery.

The BMV-700 battery monitor has an advanced microprocessor control system, as well as high accuracy of measured data: battery voltage, charge/discharge current. In addition, the software includes complex calculation algorithms, such as the Peukert formula, to accurately determine the state of charge of the battery. BMV-700 stores a variety of battery performance and usage data and selectively displays battery voltage, current, Ah consumed, battery life. The BMV has a dry contact that can be used to automatically start and stop the generator, or signal an alarm.
